Not only is it inexpensive and easy, but it’s also an engaging project that allows kids to express their love and appreciation through art.

Imagine the smile on Mom’s face when she receives a homemade “Paper wreath Mother’s Day craft” made with tender loving care by her proud children.

Let’s start with step 1 and that is to make the template.

Step 1: Making The Mother’s Day Paper Wreath Template

Step 1 - Making The Mother's Day Paper Wreath Template

To craft the wreath structure, I opted to create a unique template, blending imagination with simplicity, especially for the kids.

First, I sketched the outlines of necessary shapes like the message board, flowers, and ribbons using a pencil.

After achieving the desired shapes, I traced them with a black marker pen, forming the ideal wreath structure for Mother’s Day.

If you prefer customizing your template by drawing your own shapes, feel free to do so, although it’s optional.

Alternatively, you can download and utilize the ready-made paper wreath template from our website, following the steps below.

The image above showcases the templates I’ve personally crafted for Mother’s Day crafts.

They’re readily available on our website for free download, enabling you to print them with just a few clicks and swiftly proceed to the core steps of assembling the paper wreath craft.

I’ve provided the template in two variations i.e. One version includes outlines of the shapes as a blank template, while the other features pre-filled colors, making your task even simpler.

You can directly download and print the colorful wreath template, then proceed to cut out the shapes for assembly.

However, if you wish to personalize your paper wreath for Mother’s Day, you can utilize the template with blank outlines and color them as desired.

If you’re undertaking the craft project with multiple kids, simply print out multiple copies of the colorful template to streamline the process and save time and effort.

Step 3: Cutting the Wreath Structures

Step 3 - Cutting the Wreath Structures

In this case, that is for this project I cut out the shapes using the colorful template, but feel free to opt for the other wreath template or whichever suits your preference.

Ensure precise cutting, especially along the edges and curves of the flower shapes.

Once the cutouts are prepared, it’s time to assemble the paper wreath following the steps below.

Step 4: Assembling the Paper Wreath

Step 4 - Assembling the Paper Wreath

To start assembling, I first aligned and adhered the flower shapes and leaves together.

I created two distinct sets of flowers and leaves, positioning them on opposite corners of the message board.

Then, I carefully affixed the assembled flower sets onto the message board structure.

Step 5: Assembling the Ribbons

Step 5 - Assembling the Ribbons

I’ve neatly aligned and adhered the flowers to the opposite corners of the main structure.

Next up, I aligned and attached the ribbons around them.

Take a look at the image below to grasp the positions of the ribbon shapes, ensuring even alignment and attachment.

How long will it take to craft the mothers day paper Wreath?

Mother’s Day paper wreath will take approximately 10 minutes when using the ready-made template provided on their website. However, the total time required can vary depending on a few factors:

  1. Template Source: If you choose to create your own template by drawing the shapes yourself instead of using the pre-made one, it will add some extra time to the overall process.
  2. Skill Level: The craft time can be shorter for older kids or those with better cutting/folding skills compared to younger children who may need more assistance.
  3. Personalization: Adding extra decorative elements, coloring the shapes, or including personalized messages will increase the time needed to complete the wreath.

So in summary, while the basic ready-made template can be assembled in around 10 minutes, the total craft time can range from 15 to minutes max.
