- Paper Plate: I have used a plain paper plate which is made of biodegradable materials and its diameter is 7 inches. You can use a similar paper plate or a standard paper plate as per its availability.
- Paint and Paintbrush: I have used yellow acrylic paint to shade the paper plate. To apply paint to it I used a standard paintbrush.
- Halloween’s Template: To obtain the shapes for cutting and assembling you will need a template with ready designs. You will be able to obtain the steps to download and print the template in the next step.
- Scissor and Glue: To cut the shapes from the template you will need a scissor and to stick or assemble the shapes you will need a glue.

With the template ready, it’s time to cut out the pumpkin and tree shapes.
Cutting the tree, especially the fine branches, can be tricky, so take your time and work patiently on those areas for the best results.
Step 4: Shading the Paper Plate
To create the perfect background, I shaded the paper plate with yellow. I used yellow acrylic paint, but standard watercolors would work too.
If you already have a yellow or orange paper plate, it would be perfect to use directly as the background for the craft.
Step 5: Assembling the Shapes
It was time to assemble the Halloween cutout shapes on the paper plate.
I started by aligning the tree shape and then applied glue to the edges that touched the plate, sticking the tree in place.
Next, I aligned and glued three pumpkin shapes at the bottom of the tree, as shown in the image above.

It was time to add the final touches to our Halloween craft.
I began by sticking the remaining two pumpkin cutouts to the branches at the top of the tree.
Then, using a black marker, I drew sketches of bats flying around the tree, as seen in the image above.
